What Does Scientific Research Say About Exosomes and Hair?
Exosome research has gained considerable attention in hair restoration. The early findings are interesting, but the evidence is still developing.
A 2025 systematic review evaluated 11 clinical studies involving different exosome-based interventions for hair loss. All included studies reported improvement in at least one measured hair parameter, with some reporting improvements in hair density and thickness. [2]
Those results are encouraging, but the studies had important limitations.
Researchers identified issues including small sample sizes, different exosome sources, inconsistent study designs, and varying follow-up periods. Larger, standardized, high-quality randomized trials are still needed. [2]
